Scribe 2000 software is provided on licence for a period of time, normally one year, for payment of a licence fee.  You do not have to make your licence coincide with a financial year – in fact you will find it easier if you don’t.

The fee also covers any enhancements to the software during the licence period and software support, using any of the various channels provided.

The software is licenced for use by the customer, not purchased, and the copyright and all intellectual property rights are owned exclusively by Scribe 2000.  This is normal practice with software.

The relationship between the Council and Scribe 2000 Limited is basically an ongoing annual ‘subscription’. If you find the solution does not meet your requirement your remedy is not to renew the licence when it expires.

Our relationship with customers is founded on trust. We do not demand any prior payment and will send you the software with an invoice, provided we have an order in writing or email. We will accept your assurances about your budgeted income levels or the number of PCs you are using without any further proof.  We trust you will also give us the benefit of any doubt.
