Scribe's new accounting system is Accounts 2010.

These accounts are designed to be relevant for councils or similar public service organisations working to a budget, rather than accounts related to a commercial business existing primarily for trade and profit.

They meet the requirements of the Audit Regulations for local councils and include production of the 'lighter touch' Annual Statement introduced in 2002 in addition to providing for all the 1996 Regulations.

Accounts 2010 is a Receipts and Payments accounting system, and includes a year-end conversion to produce an Income and Expenditure account and Balance Sheet for those Councils which require them, or choose to work that way. The Annual Statement is provided, whichever form of accounts you wish to produce.

This package is therefore suitable for all Councils with up to a £1 million turnover#.

Accounts 2010

A new easy-to-use Accounting system designed specifically for local councils, to follow your normal procedures and to meet your financial management and audit requirements.

Using the Application:

• Each new financial year can be set up easily, utilising the cost centres, codes, bank details and budgets which you used the previous year but allowing full control if you need to amend anything. Obviously when you start using Accounts 2010 for the first time you will need to enter all these details.
• Reports can be printed directly or exported in other formats such as Word, Excel or PDF so that you can include them within other documents or post them onto your website, or use the data to produce graphs.
• Powerful search functions allow you to locate previous records simply and easily.
• Fully indexed web-based Help is available on-line and maintained centrally on our website. You can access this directly from the application, or at any other time.

# We do not provide a package suitable for the entire functions of the largest councils which have over £1 million turnover.
