How do the licence costs work out in practice?
All fees and policies are applied consistently to all customers.
If you would like a quotation for your particular mix of products, please email us
or fill in the on-
You will see that all the costs are based on real-
But please bear in mind that external audit can require evidence that all use of software is appropriately licenced.
Third Party Costs
if you feel you need additional advice when starting out, or if you have accountancy problems you need help with, we have external experts (internal auditors and clerks who have used Scribe for many years) who have offered to assist, but this is outside your arrangements with Scribe 2000 Ltd.
Prices are based on use on a single PC.
Additional PCs are priced at 50% of the first, whether the software is to be used across a network or just used on more than one PC.
Examples:
If you have say two PCs and a server for your network, the Accounts database may reside on the server. However you will only pay for 2 licences for the user PCs.
And you won’t have to pay for a second PC if that user never ever looks at the Accounts.
If you need to take a copy home to use on a laptop, you will not have to pay another licence. You will not have to pay again if your internal auditor needs to use it on his own PC.
But you may need to pay, for example, if a Finance Chairman wants permanent access to the accounts.
Prices are based on a single user.
No charge is made for use by another Council on the same PC.
So if you are a Clerk working for 2 or 3 Councils from home you will need only one licence, with the fee shared between Councils so that the cost for each is very small. There is no added charge for operating like this.
