The annual fee includes full telephone support. Some suppliers charge extra
for this service, and add a support fee after the first year. With Scribe 2000, you know from the start what your costs will
be.
The annual fee includes all upgrades and enhancements, for whatever reason.
You will not be charged extra even for major changes. For instance there has been no charge for the various changes required
by the Accounts and Audit Regulations, or earlier for a migration to Windows software. If you were to obtain an alternative
package as a one-off purchase, you would probably have to purchase a revised package at a later date, as the IT industry does
not stand still. With Scribe 2000 you can predict your costs.
The low-cost licence provides a low-risk strategy for new customers. If you
are concerned about investing heavily in IT systems, a low-cost licence is preferable to a substantial purchase cost on day
one. There is no obligation to renew the licence, and if you choose not to continue you can do so without major loss. Naturally
we believe that this will not be the case, and that you will welcome the opportunity to continue to enjoy the benefits of
Scribe software.
Please ask for details of current prices. Different fees apply for different
types of Accounts software and across the range of service modules. Fees for Accounts are also banded according to the size
of the Council. This is measured by budget income or expenditure in the same way as Councils are banded under the Audit Regulations.
As a guide, a typical Council might expect a fully inclusive fee for Accounts from as little as £195 per year.
Discounts:
- Prices are based on use on a single PC. Discounts for additional PCs are
given where the software is to be networked or used on more than one PC. The maximum fee is a site licence for unlimited use
on any number of PCs, which costs only twice the basic single user fee.
- Prices are based on a single user. No charge is made for use by another
Council on the same PC. So a Clerk serving 2 or 3 Councils will need only one licence, with the fee shared between Councils
so that the cost for each is very small. There is no added charge for operating like this.
All fees are applied consistently to all customers, and if you would like a quotation for your particular
mix of products, please email us or fill in the on-line enquiry.
