Support is provided by Scribe 2000 as part of UK licences without any further
cost.
Telephone support can be called on at all times when the Council is likely
to require it - during office hours for full-time staff, and in the evenings and at weekends for part-time Clerks. We are
confident that any existing Scribe 2000 customer will vouch for the commitment and responsiveness of support provided.
As Scribe 2000 is Windows-based, it is simple to use on a point-and-click
basis. It is also flexible in order to meet the individual circumstances of each Council. No special training will be needed,
even if you have not used a computer before, so no extra costs will be incurred.
Help is available on-screen and in-context. This help information includes
practical day-to-day requirements as well as help on use of the software. However, for those users who prefer to read paper
reference guides, these are also provided for downloading and included on distribution CDs.
A sample set of data is included with the Accounts package. This is based
on a real Council, with accounts approved by Auditors. You can use this data to practice on, and to see the different types
of report which can be obtained from the system.
A Information Centre exists on the website for users as a way of exchanging
tips and ideas, and for keeping users up to date with Scribe 2000 strategies and proposed enhancements to the software. It
also includes relevant local council news and useful links.
